CCOBNA Mission Statement
We are a voluntarily supported Neighborhood Association:
Our mission is to fairly and objectively represent the 248 homeowners in our neighborhood utilizing the $60 per household per year voluntary Neighborhood Association fee to its maximum benefit providing management of common property and events for all residents in an effort to build an attractive, secure and unified community.
The board meets every other month to review neighborhood needs and issues, evaluate finances and decide on future plans and expenditures. The board contributes time to activities that include:
making phone calls on behalf of the neighborhood, attending city development meetings, organizing and hosting neighborhood events, responding to residents concerns, and monitoring the condition of common neighborhood areas.
CCOBNA supports the following:
Basic maintenance of common neighborhood areas including:
- The marquee lighting and landscaping
- Regular mowing of the right of way beside the marquee
- In ground sprinkler system supporting landscaping
- The message board at the entrance
Communication via:
- Publication of a bi-monthly newsletter
- Hand delivered flyers announcing significant events
- Maintenance of a website
- Message board announcements
Community events:
- Activities that encourage community interaction
Networking with nearby neighborhood associations to increase our influence over city decisions that impact our neighborhood:
- Traffic light placement
- Road plans (turn lanes, median cuts, through streets)
- Development of land that abuts our neighborhood and impacts traffic flow, lights and noise
- Intrusion
Attendance of and comment at city meetings where issues impacting our neighborhood are being discussed and decisions are being made.
